Foxy Panic deliver an end of the year anthem, "Anecdote"
Crafting together a memorable New Year's anthem for all to rejoice to, Foxy Panic’s latest track “Anecdote” blew out our expectations. Please read on for our full review of the track, as well as a background on the band.
Created to be “A theme song for when you find yourself overwhelmed with the state of the world and just want to be forcefully uplifted to a state of bliss”, we couldn’t possibly agree more with the statement. Everything about Foxy Panic’s newest song “Anecdote” is transcendent in sound and uplifting in its vibe. Without a doubt, we’re extremely excited for everyone out there to give this a listen.
Released officially on December 27th, 2021, this Los Angeles-based punktronic pop duo are thinking outside the box in their endeavor to create truly unique and fresh music. To be honest, this was our introduction to their music, however they’ve managed to impress us in ways unimaginable on this song. Featuring swirling synthesizers, passionate vocal delivery, and the ability to get you up and dancing, we can confidently state they’ve got a winner on their hands here.
On our initial listen of “Anecdote”, it felt like there were infinite highlights to point out, so we’ll leave you with the main ones prior to your listen. Primarily, the production on this track is what has tied everything together the most, mainly in its prowess to create sounds like we’ve never experienced. Surely the term “punktronic” was new to us, but after listening, it’s the genre we didn’t know that we needed in our lives. We can only imagine how well this song and the rest of their discography would translate in a live setting. After opening for Mija in 2020, it’s a shock they’re not bigger than they are at the moment, but “Anecdote” will change that.
