Flynn Tanner impresses again on dreamy single, "Trust Fall"
Giving his growing fanbase another glimpse into what’s coming soon on his debut EP, Flynn Tanner has shared another sensational track titled “Trust Fall”. Read on for a closer look at the track, as well as an update on the artist.
With an EP coming of the same name, Trust Fall, Flynn Tanner has elegantly pivoted his sound to something that embodies indie pop and R&B, but with an incredibly smooth production in the process. It’s been a little bit since we last reviewed Flynn on his track “Discovering You”, but we can confidently state right now that we’re completely loving the direction and maturity in his sound overall. If you’ve yet to dive into his growing discography, this is an ideal place to start.
As a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based out of Toronto, it’s a feat on its own knowing that he’s fulfilling his vision in creating music as impressive as this. With Trust Fall on the way though and it including three previously shared singles and one new, this collection of stellar tracks is going to more than enough to become a fan and also serving as a solid base to go off of in the future. Speaking directly on the single “Trust Fall” though, we were immediately partial to the atmospheric elements and overall spaciness that this artist included. His voice feels transcendent in the mix, almost as if it’s acting as another instrument to create those deep complexities.
Having now had the opportunity to listen to each song in his catalog, we’re thoroughly enjoying the way that Flynn isn’t locking himself down to one particular genre. As a producer, he’s made sure to focus on the genre-bending aspect of music creation, but at the same time he’s forming a signature feel and sound for himself too. Once all the tracks come out though, it’s going to be a real journey from start to finish, mainly in the sense to see how he tracklists the songs to evoke a mood. However, there’s no doubt in our minds that he’s going to excel in that stylistic decision, the songs are just too great on their own!
