Faime elaborates on his pop-centric EP, "Love Drunk" - Interview
Fresh off the release of his all new EP titled Love Drunk, we got the extra special opportunity to sit and speak with the artist behind the music, Faime. Make sure to check out our full interview below.
Garnering an immense amount of streams across his growing discography, we overwhelmingly feel that Faime’s latest EP Love Drunk is going to be the thing that propels him to the next level. Continuing to one up himself on each subsequent release, his unique brand of soft pop is geared to the masses, but at the same time has sort of an alternative feel to it as well. During our conversation with the artist, we got to the root of his influences, production, and so many more fun talking points.
After receiving a co-sign from BTS’ V for his song “Save”, that’s when things really began to get serious for Faime. Now with the release of Love Drunk, he’s managed to put a team together to take this one to the next level. With help from yaeow, Chapters (Simon Jay & Luke Shrestha), Jed Peek, and Nia Padilla, ultimately this EP is a masterclass in what to do to create something everyone wants to hear.
Coming in at 5 total tracks, spanning right 14 minutes in length, our collective first impression was just how clean everything sounded. With repeated listens and as much as the production stood out on so many levels, we couldn’t help but feel that Faime’s vocals are really what tied everything together. Each song created its own little world of sound and atmosphere, however the delivery and emotion behind his voice was the much needed consistency and constant the record needed. Even just comparing his previous works to this, the insane amount of growth in passion came through clear as day.
Instant standouts for us were the title track “Love Drunk and “I Found Her”. Honestly though, at only 5 songs, you’d have to be a fool to not listen to this one in its entirety. We suggest you do just that by checking out the important links below to listen, follow along, and stay tuned for what we can only imagine is going to be a massive year for Faime.
