Elysaé hits the music scene with anthemic debut single, “Blinded”

Review by Austin Sher

Up and coming independent musician, Elysaé, has just entered the music scene with a fantastic and anthemic debut single, “Blinded”. Read along for our thoughts on the track and what we’re looking forward to in regards to the future of Elysaé!

As the first notes hit your ears, you can feel the rhythm and overall passion that went into the release of “Blinded”. Considering this is the first official release coming from the artist, we’re quite impressed with the production attached to the single. Produced by Luke Caruana (Caravãna Sun) and Ian Pritchett (Angus & Julia Stone, The Beautiful Girls), Elysaé says, “It’s a message of embracing who you are and reclaiming your personal power”. Well, after listening in full multiple times, that comes across quite clearly and with serious power.

Our first thoughts listening to “Blinded” are that it gives off heavy summer vibes, in the best way possible. There are highs and lows in regards to emotion evoked and we can’t help but use the describer anthemic once more, because it just is. Imagine yourself in a sea of concert goers, doing the “oh oh oh’s”, you can definitely see it, right? It’s a perfect song for a singalong with friends while cruising the coast. It has a freeing feeling all the while feeling familiar like you’ve been listening to the song for years. I definitely caught myself humming along within the first 30 seconds, and after repeated listens, singing the lyrics right back.

We overall really enjoyed what we heard on this debut single and it gives us great hope that an EP or full LP will be released sometime soon, because at this point, we need more Elysaé in our lives. While she is just getting started on her music journey, we’re happy the track came across our desks and we hope to say “we knew her when” when she inevitably hits it big with another banger of a track.
