Dionne Sturdy-Clow excels again on feel good track, "I Could Be Somebody"

Blending together the best parts of Rock and Pop, this 20 year old Donacaster-based songwriter is sure to make waves with this infectiously catchy single. Keeping the focus on those imagery-filled lyrics that look towards a brighter future for this musician, you can’t help but instantly be enthralled with the upbeat nature of it all. If this is your introduction to the music of Dionne, you’re undoubtedly setting yourself up for a memorable time.
Backed up by Crystal Gail’s Nashville bass player Rob Price and Berlin-based Bafta Film composer and drummer Ali Reid, they’re truly only complements to the greatness that Dionne has brought. Right from the get go, the entirety of “I Could Be Somebody” embodies the nature of a sunny summer day in the song’s atmosphere. Slightly reminiscent of a prime Sheryl Crow, everything about the vocals here are uplifting and bring a positive energy into the mix.
While the song is mainly acoustic, it also features some memorable production elements that add to the allure and atmosphere. We won’t stop mentioning that feel good aura that the song brings, but of course it’s only fueled by the immense passion and emotion of Dionne’s vocals. Although this appears to just be her third official release, she’s setting herself up for a fruitful career in the music space.
