Diana Bidèa carves out an R&B niche on single, "The Game"
Out yesterday on March 12th, 2021, we’re celebrating the release of Diana Bidèa’s latest single, “The Game”. Please read along with us as we share our complete thoughts on her track, in addition to an introduction on the artist.
Representing the New York music scene, Diana Bidèa is an emerging soulful R&B artist who is bringing immense amounts of creativity and innovation into her music. With a background in classical opera, her music features full sounding vocals, cushioned with soulful and bluesy melodies, in between cinematic sounds, giving you a full contemporary R&B experience.
With this being the second single release from Diana in 2021 so far, I think we can confidently state that she’s 2 for 2. “Forbidden Fruit” was fantastic, but “The Game” is truly a next level auditory experience. With those classical opera singing chops of hers, she doesn't miss a beat on the vocal presence from start to finish. It was almost as if she’s speaking directly to the listener as the song goes on. It’s personal, relatable, yet extremely intimate in its feel.
Atmospherically, she’s managed to manufacture a world of suspense and drama. The swirling sounds of the background were mesmerizing, but at the same time the artist’s voice keeps you at ease, making you feel like everything’s going to be ok. We don’t want to come off as too dramatic here ourselves, however, there really was something extraordinarily ominous about its tone. It’s taken generic sounding R&B and flipped it upside down.
The song is a winner, hands down. You can call it R&B, you can call it alternative pop, but whatever it is, it’s amazing. Creating intriguing music is an impossible task in its own right, so to put out something this high quality early in your career is just setting the stage and base for years to come. We’ll make it said right now, we’re Diana Bidèa fans.
Celebrate this release with us by giving it all the streams and shares. Add it to your playlists, annoy your neighbors by cranking the volume up and dancing in your apartment, and share it amongst your high brow music loving friends. All of the above would work as well.
