Cynthia Angelica leads with her vocals on dramatic single, "Flatline"
On only her second official single, Cynthia Angelica has continued to release stunning beauty, especially so on “Flatline”. Read on for an in-depth look into the track, as well as a much needed background on this emerging artist.
Currently based out of Maryland, Cynthia Angelica is a spiritual pop artist and beyond talented songwriter who’s teased another single off her upcoming debut album. The song is called “Flatline” and features an atmospheric production, compelling instrumentals, and the cherry on top is Cynthia’s outstanding vocal presence. We instantly fell in love with this song on first listen and think you will too once you hit the play button.
On the background of her impending album, it was “inspired by the state of our country that is overshadowed by senseless violence”. This specific single was written after Cynthia’s sister, a travel nurse, was close to a mass shooting a few years back. Becoming an all too common tragedy in the United States, it’s pieces of art like “Flatline” that aim to not only bring awareness, but lend a shoulder to lean on during these trying and terrible times. It’s acting as a call to action for these things to stop, but in an extremely approachable way such as stunning music like this. Undoubtedly our favorite part of “Flatline” has to be Cynthia’s voice, but not because of its dynamics, but based on the sheer conviction and sincerity in which she delivers each and every line.
Speaking on the production side of things, we’d urge everyone out there to listen to this with a nice pair of headphones, otherwise the subtleties in the mix would get lost. There’s such a close attention to detail in terms of what makes this track pop the most. It’s obviously emotional in the way that it carries itself, given the themes being depicted. Also now having the opportunity to listen to Cynthia’s debut “Grace”, she’s carving out this signature sound for herself that we can’t seem to get enough of. While we don’t have a slated date for the album to come out, one thing is for sure, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled on all the incoming news.
