Crash World preview "Lucky One" ahead of debut album release

Making a swift return with their third single of the year, Crash World have infused all the heart and soul in the world into their latest, “Lucky One”. Please read on for an in-depth review of the track, in addition to a background on the band.

Made up of Glen MacLeod and Graham MacDonald, Crash World are the masterminds behind the duo, Crash World. Currently based out of Vancouver, they’re continuing their streak of passionate singles with an explosive performance of “Lucky One”. Filled with an immense diversity within the instrumentation, but ultimately led by a set of serene vocals, they’re gearing up for a debut album release this coming June. We’re urging everyone out there to familiarize themselves with their discography before that big day comes.

Bridging the gap between the nostalgic sounds of the 60’s and 70’s, but also forward thinking in the beauty and lyricism of it all, Crash World are checking all of our personal boxes for music that genuinely makes you feel good. Their debut record So The Story Goes is preparing for its imminent release on June 3rd, 2022, but in the meantime they’ve been slowly teasing what’s to come over the past year. “Lucky One” just happens to be their latest, but now having explored the rest of their music, they’ve delicately shown that they’re everything but a one note band and in fact can hit on so many different styles.

Focusing in on their latest though, “Lucky One” is a slow jam with poetic elements not only through the lyrical context, but in the song composition that is everything but mainstream. While the song is certainly rooted in classic country, they’re no strangers to showing off their musical chops when it comes to piercing guitar solos and inspiring passages. As the song comes in at just a little over five minutes, it’s become this fully fleshed out piece of art that not only gets to breath because of its length, but also immerses you in the experience as well.

We can only imagine how well their music translates in a live setting, and with the band getting out on the road this month to prepare for the album release, we’d suggest everyone catch a show if they’re coming anywhere near you. In fact, we’ve included all the important links below to listen, follow along, and to keep up with all the biggest news that’s surely coming within a month from now. Enjoy!
