Craig Heath comes out strong on his debut album, "From Dusk Till Dawn"
Heartfelt from the opening notes, Craig Heath’s debut album titled From Dusk Till Dawn is jam-packed with hits from start to finish. We’re loving this one! Read on for a closer look at the record, as well as a background on this artist.
Currently based out of Australia, Craig Heath is a singer and songwriter who’s taken a break from his front man duties in Supernova to put something out on his own. The album is called From Dusk Till Dawn and immediately this artist has proved his lyrical prowess in crafting meaningful songs that are filled with all the passion and emotion. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our multiple listens and can’t wait for everyone to give this a spin.
Taking cues from some of the greats like Keith Urban and Rick Springfield, he’s still managed to infuse a ton of originality and freshness into this collection of songs. Coming in at 9 total tracks, spanning right around 33 minutes, it’s essentially one cohesive record that’s as raw as you could hope for. While the record is about as classic country as you could hope or want, instrumentally there’s still plenty of rock elements that show themselves throughout the listen. Specifically, we found “These Are The Days” and “Loves Never Leaving” to be immense standouts amongst the bunch.
On the production side of things, From Dusk Till Dawn is incredibly crisp and clear, however Craig’s vocals add a much needed edge into the mix. Seriously, for a nostalgic sounding album like this that certainly pulls glimmers of style from the past, the vocal delivery here provides a modern presence to bring us into the future. Whether it’s purposeful or not, there’s a grit about Craig’s sound that makes your ears perk up and gives you a focus to pay attention intently. If anything, it’s commanding in a way that a true frontman should be and undoubtedly served as one of our biggest takeaways from it all.
For a debut album, there’s nothing we would change or comment negatively, rather we can now patiently wait for Craig Heath’s sophomore record somewhere down the line. In the meantime, we fully suggest that everyone check out the important links below to listen, follow along, and of course to stay up to date for all the latest news and information.
