Christopher George arranges perfectly funky debut, "All The Way For The Win"
Wonderfully funky and super innovative in sound, Christopher George’s all new single “All The Way For The Win” is utterly fantastic. Please read along as we break down our full thoughts on the track, in addition to a background on this talented artist.
Having worked as a session trombonist and backup singer for the past decade, the time has finally come because Christopher George has a debut single of his own. Titled “All The Way For The Win”, it’s legitimately got everything you could possibly want in an upbeat and uplifting song. With hopefully so much more on the way, let us point you in the direction to hop on the bandwagon now before he blows up.
With so much experience playing, writing, and arranging for others around the United Kingdom, we’re thrilled that Christopher George finally has something to solely call his own. Featuring a massive horns section, courtesy of reg Nicholas and Sam Houghton, George assembled the ideal team of individuals to help bring his idea to life. While the song is only around three and a half minutes, it never stops delivering from the opening moments to the final notes.
Lending his own vocals and trombone skills to the mix as well, the song itself doesn’t stop evolving when you start to think it’s a big band track. The production lent to “All The Way For The Win” was quite charming on its own and helped to create a nice complexity, diversity, and thoroughly mind bending layers that we weren’t expecting. Somewhere around the midpoint mark, it feels like there’s a slight nod to Daft Punk in the robotic backing vocals, we particularly enjoyed that moment a ton.
Truly, there isn’t a single negative or critique we could say about this song. It’s got us hyped to see what kind of sound or composition he comes up with next. Looking at his years of experience, we sincerely hope that there’s an EP or full length album in the works that resembles something like this. For us, there’s never enough funky or groovy music in the world, which is why we took to the track so quickly.
