Chloe Mayse gets vulnerable on new single, "Two Weeks"

On just their second overall single, Chloe Mayse is rapidly making a statement with her music on “Two Weeks”. Please read on for a closer look into the track, in addition to a background on this emerging artist.

Representing the music scene in Toronto, Chloe Mayse is crafting together an inspired mix of alternative pop, but specifically so on her newest single “Two Weeks”. Focusing on a crisp production, evocative lyricism, and so much more, this is just the beginning of an already prosperous career in music. We sincerely enjoyed Chloe’s debut “Come Here with Me”, but this feels like a drastic step in every facet. Of course, we can’t wait for everyone out there to give this a spin as soon as possible.

On the background of it all, Chloe has said, “"I only gave myself two weeks to be alone and then the pattern would start up again. It was not healthy at all because I didn't give myself time to heal but I also didn't work on overcoming my fear of being alone. It's like depending on someone else to make you feel happy." Being vulnerable is never an easy task, but more so in music that’s available for the entirety of the world to listen to and enjoy. Where we felt Chloe shined the brightest in undoubtedly in her vocal range and delivery, but also the cleverly timed pauses that add such a great amount of depth and emotion into the mix as well. She’s surrounded by beauty in the composition of the song, but you can’t really help but have your focus shifted to following along with each line of the story.

Speaking on the genre, it perfectly borders that line of alternative and pop without going too much in the direction of one. The genre itself feels crowded nowadays, but there’s certainly freshness emanating from “Two Weeks”, given its raw feeling and ability to impress productionally. With a subtle acoustic guitar, swirling pianos, and a minimalistic feeling overall, the vision has been conquered in showing that less is absolutely more in the grand scheme.

At so early on in her career, we’re sincerely thrilled and looking forward to hearing what else is on the horizon! For now though, go ahead and get into this now by clicking the links below, following on social media, and staying tuned for the latest news. Enjoy!
