Catherine Duc & Jonas Isacsson form uplifting single, "Remember When..."
On her latest released single, Catherine Duc has brought on a helping hand in Jonas Isacsson to feature on a collaboration single, “Remember When…”. We loved it! Read along for our full review of the track, as well as a background on the artist as well.
For those out of the loop on Catherine Duc, she is an Australian Grammy nominated composer and multi-instrumentalist who has remixed songs for artists like The Corrs and XYLØ. Bringing on Jonas Isacsson to feature on “Remember When…” was also the right call, because he’s got the record himself. He’s a Swedish guitarist who played with the iconic band Roxette for over 15 years. Together they’ve created beauty on this lush single!
Categorized as synthwave, retrowave with melodic progressive house influences, this four minute single has seriously mesmerized and hypnotized us. Considering it’s a full instrumental track, it’s literally never been easier to feel so entranced by a piece of music in such a short amount of time. Expertly produced and well thought out, this was our first introduction to both artists, however we’ll be keeping a close eye because we’ve fallen in love with what we’ve heard here.
As the summer begins to round the corner and the weather begins to heat up, this is exactly the style and mood type of music that we’ve been searching for. With the production being at an absolute all time high, the soaring and delicately placed guitar riffs featured by Jonas, and just every other aspect being on point, we have no choice but to overwhelmingly recommend a listen of “Remember When…”. Honestly, we plan on digging into the rest of Catherine’s music because we’re sure it will be as good, if not better than this.
No matter the mood you’re in or the emotions you’re feeling, we have the sneaking suspicion that a song like this will be able to lift you out of it and put you into a good place. For lovers of electronic music as a whole, or even those who are looking to introduce themselves into the vast genre, we do feel that this would be a lovely starting point for those interested. Get into it!
