Originally from Tel Aviv, but now representing the Los Angeles music scene, Benny Duhay is a Hip Hop artist that has just released a perplexing new single “WWBD”, aka “What Would Benny Do?”. The song was initially inspired by how he envisioned his first post-COVID tour, which then immediately begs the question, when do we get to see this performed live? Sooner rather than later we’re hoping!
Lyrically imaginative with a production as good as the pros, “WWBD” is inexplicably the feel good song you need in your lives, point blank. Released ahead of his debut album that’s looking to be slated for August, this is the perfect first taste and introduction into the mind of Benny Duhay. If this is something that you eventually end up listening to and enjoying, then you might as well hop on the bandwagon now before he blows up.
We got even more important background from the artist himself, in which he said, “This song was inspired by my vision of what a tour would look like for me post Covid. Almost like writing it into existence. Without being able to do a live show in over two years now, I really had to think back of how things used to be but also how wild things will be once we get back to normal.” If there’s one show we’re looking forward to in the coming months or within a year, it’s the absurdity that’s going to ensue once this gets played in a live setting.
We’re speaking as if “WWBD” is the only solid song in Benny’s discography, but realistically we’ve listened to the rest and there’s just as much goodness there as there is in this newest single. It’s all worth your time and listens, so definitely start towards the beginning and work your way towards the latest. You’ll be able to hear his evolution, which is beyond impressive at this point.
