Carly Lind explodes on dynamic single, "IFHU"
It’s not often our jaws instantly drop when we hear a song, but in this case, Carly Lind’s “IFHU” has done exactly that in the best way possible. Please read on for our positive review of the track, as well as a much needed background on this emerging artist.
What is actually an acronym for “I fucking hate you”, Carly Lind’s explosive new single “IFHU” is legitimately one of the most powerful songs we’ve heard this year, no joke. Written about moving through her grief and anger, this song feels like the epitome of putting your best foot forward to get over whatever your problem is. We love it and sincerely can’t wait for everyone to give it a listen.
Currently based out of Los Angeles, Carly Lind is a singer, songwriter, dancer, and content creator who surely knows how to craft something memorable. What she’s done in building an online community is tremendous, however she’s quickly proved to us that she’s got the talent to back it all up. Let us kick our review off by saying that her single “IFHU” is about as bold as it gets when it comes to music, but in a way that it had to have been quite relieving to write and record.
What starts out as a track that resembles a laidback ballad with meaningful lyrics, quickly transforms into an emphatic and anthemic song that any music lover across the spectrum could appreciate. With production levels out of this world and her vocals being the real star of the show, there isn’t a single wasted moment on this listening experience. We almost don’t want to get too much into detail for the sake of not spoiling, mainly because the song is so unique and special in its own right. Take our word for it and just know that this is going to be one of the most profound songs you’ve heard in a while.
This was our introduction to the music of Carly Lind, but seriously it has piqued our interest to the point that we’re going to explore her discography at length. We recommend you do the same because there’s sure to be plenty of gems hiding.
