Blue Doll craft awe-inspiring experience on latest EP, "Fellow"

Officially released on October 14th, 2022, Blue Doll have served up another sensational record titled Fellow. We are loving it! Please read on for a closer look into the EP, as well as a much needed background on the band.

First crossing paths in 2007 but not actually creating music until 2011, the music duo of Blue Doll was eventually born. For the most part their music has been fairly low key, only sharing in small circles of family and friends, but thankfully they’ve shared the greatness that is Fellow with the world. From start to finish, listeners will be overjoyed with a sonic blend of indie pop, rock, and glimmers of soul sprinkled in for a superbly bright listening experience. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our multiple listens and cannot wait for you to give it a spin.

Coming in at 6 total tracks, each isolated track feels like a little atmospheric and wondrous world of musical exploration. Undoubtedly led by Kendall Ditomasso’s dynamic and emotion-filled vocals, the instrumentation backed up is nothing to forget either. We went in with limited expectations, but it’s safe to say that each song sort of blew us away more than the next. However, one of the bigger surprises was just how crisp and clean the production was, ultimately adding to the allure and laundry list of what made Fellow so great. We’d urge all listeners to listen to this with a nice pair of headphones, in order to not miss out on the subtleties that make tracks like “Back Then” or “Til Death” really pop.

Considering that they’ve finally put this out, surely there’s got to be a treasure trove of unreleased hits just waiting to be released. We’ll patiently wait for that time to come, but there’s no doubt we’ll be coming back to this. Honestly, it’s been a while since a truly cohesive record like this came across our plates. You get immersed through the opener and Kendall and Steve take you on this adventurous journey as they pack suspense and ear popping soundscapes into the mix. There are zero changes we’d make, and with that, let us please point you to the important links below.
