Seeing its global release on January 15th, 2021, Blake Collins is back with yet another upbeat bop, “I’m Not Gonna Take It Anymore”! We’re loving it! Please read along with us as we share our full review on the track, as well as a refresher on the artist.

In case you forgot, we recently covered Blake’s instant Christmas classic, “It’s Christmas Time”. Thankfully the American and British indie rock singer and songwriter is back with yet another poetic, passionate, and upbeat track engineered for the masses. Reminiscent of The Beatles, The Kinks, and the Beach Boys, his overall sound is difficult not to fall in love with.

At just two and a half minutes in runtime, Blake has managed to really pack in the love on this track. As expected and welcomed, it’s a 60’s esque short and fun single that can legitimately be played over and over. The replayability is at an all time high, and just like everything else he makes, infectiously fun to listen and groove along to.

We would classify this as the type of song that can be played anywhere and anyplace. It’s not the type of song that you’d need to be in a reflective mood or something that requires immense amount of focus. To be perfectly honest, it’s carefree, lighthearted, and something we absolutely showed our parents as soon as it came across our paths. Throwback and vintage style music never goes out of style, so it’s clearly no surprise that what he’s doing here vibes with us and the rest who listen.

The style that Blake gives off just takes this to another level as well. Like in the single artwork for “I’m Not Gonna Take It Anymore”, it’s a slice of how things used to be, and we commend him for it. It seems as though so many artists of this era are focused on the now and what they can do to stay up with the times.

Wrapping things up, it’s not crazy to think that we’re without a doubt recommending this track to listeners young and old. Truly, it’s a song for the ages and makes us incredibly hopeful that more music just like this will be released in the near future, especially from Blake Collins.
