BINO drops another banger with the release of "One More Time"
Review by Austin Sher
Released last Friday on August 7th, 2020, BINO is back with another fantastic 2020 release, titled “One More Time”. Read along with us as we break down what we thought of the track, as well as a bit of background and insight into the artist himself.
Currently based out of Chicago’s South Side, BINO was always close to music. With a father who regularly DJ’d throughout the city, and even on popular radio stations (WGCI, Power 92), he learned the ins and outs of hip hop, rap, and soul pretty early in life. Growing up, he moved around quite frequently, resulting in his peers always being ever-changing . Because of this, he was exposed to all different forms and genres of music including rock, punk and pop. Developing a passion for them, he began making music at the age of 14.
Releasing numerous singles throughout his teens, all in varied genres, he began building a small fan base. He even began a film career with small roles in a few short films. Now a full time music artist, BINO has released an EP and has plans for a follow up in the fall of 2020. In addition to “One More Time”, we highly recommend you check out BINO’s EP, From Me To You, you surely won’t be disappointed.
Onto the music now, our first impressions on this track were immediately how fun, lighthearted, and danceable it was. Going in blind with no prior knowledge of BINO’s work, we were pleasantly surprised at how high quality the production sounded. Listening on a nice pair of headphones is always preferred, but even without them, this song bumps very nicely. You’ll experience a booming bass, flawless vocals, and a backing beat that just makes you want to dance.
First impressions of a song are always met with how the single or album artwork appear. At times you can get a feel of what genre you’ll be hearing or the overall vibe of the song. This was no difference. Going in I expected to have fun with “One More Time” and coming in at just around 3 minutes long, we truly wish it were longer! By the time you’re familiar with the song and starting to sing along, it’s sadly over. I guess that just means a few repeated listens will give the desired effect.
All in all, if you’re looking for a catchy, well produced, and infectious sound, stop what you’re doing and listen to “One More Time”. For all things BINO, to listen to this song and past discographies, and to keep up with all future releases, please check out the following links below.
