Ari Dayan goes above & beyond on stunning debut album, "Alive"
After a slow lead up to the big day, we’re thrilled to say that Ari Dayan’s debut album Alive has finally arrived. Keep reading for a closer look into the record, in addition to a background on this emerging artist.
Always aiming to think outside the box in the vast realm of Pop music, Ari Dayan has slowly been teasing impressive single after single throughout 2022. With a wide variety of musical influences making their way through, the artist has still managed to carve out something incredibly special for herself with the release of Alive. Listeners can expect a masterclass in storytelling, varying degrees of explosive production, and a vocal display that truly knows no bounds. Obviously, we’re recommending everyone give this a listen as soon as possible.
Through 8 wonderful tracks, you’re immediately immersed into this atmospheric world of twists, turns, and surprises that Ari lays out for you. On one hand, there’s a clear artistic expression going on in terms of volatility within her sound, yet through our initial listen we couldn’t help but feel like we were experiencing something rather than just going through the emotions. It’s 100% a cohesive record, meaning it’s best enjoyed untouched front to back, but we still think you’ll have your favorites to pick out for future listens. Specific singles like “Sara” and “Friends” were lovely lead tracks to get anyone excited, but honestly the major standout is going in to listen and not feeling the need to skip from song to song.
Lyrically speaking, we’d urge everyone to actually connect the dots within her words. You might be distracted at times from some of the more in-your face pop-forward songs, but there’s such a sincere vulnerability showing itself from start to finish. You get the opportunity to learn a little bit about Ari’s struggles, hone in on some introspection, and so much more. There really are so many highlights across Alive, it’s actually difficult to keep count, but the most surprising thing is that this is easily one of the stronger debut albums we’ve heard this year. Everything about it screams professionalism and it’s set this base for the future to somehow one up herself.
