Antigen Shift explore new sounds on explosive single, "Talk"

An absolute sonic blast to the senses, Antigen Shift have just unleashed a powerful new track titled “Talk”. Keep reading for a closer look into our thoughts on the single, as well as a much needed background on this project.

From the minds of veteran post-industrial noise synth DJ Nicholas Theriault and Jairus Khan comes a whopping collaboration that left everything out on the table to enjoy. The song is called “Talk” and right from the opening notes, you’re immediately immersed in this buzzy and transformative world of sound that doesn’t let up even for a single second. It takes a couple listens to process it all, but we promise you’ll enjoy it once you do. Of course, we’re highly recommending everyone give it a listen.

A cavalcade of sound that mainly revolves around electronic bass and glimmers of vocals looming in the background, it’s virtually guaranteed that your heart rate is going to increase a bit after a loud listen of “Talk”. With a reverberating vocal pattern included that says “All you do is f#$king TALK”, the perfectly distorted screams set the tone in the in between of everything being presented. We’re completely honest when we say that it takes a couple times through to hear everything going on, because this one is seriously dense, but in the best way possible. Paying close attention to the mixing on top of an already stellar production, each collaborative DJ has brought their own signature essence into the mix for something outrageous and innovative.

Instrumentally speaking, we mentioned that this does revolve around a bass, however you can’t look past the drums that make your body beat as it’s all going on. Things feel a little chaotic at times and maybe even overwhelming at first if this is a genre that you’re not typically used to, however we can fully see this being a great introduction track for those who are looking to expand their musical horizons. Putting a label on it is quite difficult, so we suppose you could call it experimental electronic, but just know it doesn’t need a name in order for you to feel the immense amount of love and passion that went into it!

With that being said, go ahead and excitedly click those links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with all future releases and information.
