Anniee cranks it up on her outstanding new single, "Take Me Away"
Officially debuted on February 5th, 2021, Anniee has unleashed her second single of the year, titled “Take Me Away”. Read along with us as we detail our complete thoughts on the track, as well as a background on the artist as well.
Singer, songwriter, and complete talent Anniee is currently based out of Montclair, New Jersey in which she’s producing high energy pop dance tracks that also happen to feature her unique set of theatrical vocals. Having performed in so many other genres such as classical, folk, rock, and more, Anniee has certainly found her niche within this competitive genre.
Specifically on “Take Me Away”, the artist let us know specifically that the song is “a high energy dance anthem for anyone who is tired of staying at home!”. Like us, we’re stuck at home like a majority of the rest of the world, so when this song crossed our paths, it really only took about 30 seconds of listening for her wish to come true! We were up, dancing, and having that good time that we’ve missed so badly, all thanks to Anniee.
Calling this song “unique” doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of what it really is. While some would call it dance, some would like to call it electro pop, we’re just going to go with it being an amalgamation of everything that’s great happening in music. Being straightforward though, it’s definitely on the spectrum of electronic dance music, however with the inclusion of the artist’s truly outstanding vocal delivery, it sort of transfers into a different realm of music. It doesn’t sound like every other EDM song that gets churned out on a weekly basis, there’s real talent behind it.
Even if you took away her vocals, it’s still a highly listenable song, but the inclusion of them makes it stand out 100%. Without talking in circles, and without spoiling too much, you really need to give it a listen to make your own judgements. In our opinion though, Anniee has hit an absolute home run with her arrangements and the spice to life that she’s given “Take Me Away”.
With that being said, we need more! Considering it appears she’s only got three officially released songs to her name, with two being released this year, we’ve now got the need for as much as possible. No rush to the artist, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on what’s to come. For now, give the track a listen, dance it up, and enjoy!
