Anaté preview EP with an electrifying pop single, "After"

Teasing another electrifying single off of their upcoming EP, Anaté have outdone themselves on their latest, “After”. Please read on for a complete analysis of the track, in addition to a closer look at the duo.

For those out of the loop, Anaté are a pop duo made up of Ana and Andrea, both of whom are taking care of the responsibilities between singing, songwriting, and incredible producing. Together they’re continuing to build the hype ahead of their newest EP, Fume, but this time with an energetic and downright powerful single “After”. Complementing each other with silky smooth vocals, booming bass, and many other major highlights, the duo have completely impressed us on this newest venture. It’s the perfect gateway to the rest of their music, so please give it a spin when you get a moment.

According to the artists, they wrote this with a “more laid back approach to the contemplating lyrics of the first album Confessions, moving also towards mainstream pop sounds”. Although they definitely allude to aligning more with the mainstream so to speak, there is still an ideal amount of alternative elements that are ever present on “After”. They’ve described this as the characterization of the impending EP, and with that being said, that’s got us even more thrilled for what’s to come in the near future. This song has held a ton of versatility for us as well, giving the opportunity for the listener to dance, groove, or become introspective due to some of the themes discussed within the lyrics.

With so many particular moments in the track that seemed to stand out, we couldn’t help but feel like the vocals rose to the top as our major standout. However the crisp production and backing effects were a close second, Ana’s tone, delivery, and cadence fit the vibe unbelievably well. They took the pop genre, one that’s crowded and bloated at the moment, and somehow managed to differentiate themselves through all the minor moments that ended up adding up to something bigger. Fume isn’t far from its release, but we truly can’t wait to hear this song in the context of the whole record.

As we patiently wait, go ahead and check out the links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with all major news.
