New Music Friday - Week of 5/15/2020

Another week of fantastic releases from artists across the globe has arrived! This week we’re closely eyeing the new albums & singles from Perfume Genius, Moses Sumney, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Kikagaku Moyo, Kid Bloom, and so many more!

What a week it’s been so far. With so much free time and not a whole lot to do within our own homes, artists are releasing unplanned tracks at a rapid pace, to the point where it’s become a little difficult to keep up, but that’s why we’re here right?

Considering there’s really not a whole lot to do these days, at least for those keeping to guidelines, music has become one of the only outlets and releases for a natural introvert. Concerts used to be that outlet, but it’s going to be a while unfortunately. At this point, supporting your local artists and music venues are as important as ever. Wherever you may be reading this from, just know you’re not alone, and this time is tough for all.

Back to the music though, there are really some spectacular and unique releases coming out today. Personally, I’m most excited for new albums from Perfume Genius, Jerry Paper, and Nahko and Medicine For The People. They’ve been on my radar for a while and having anything to look forward to is a plus in my book! Enough of my blabber, get listening to the new tunes!
