Kevin Parker reveals 18-minute remix of One More Year on NTS Radio

When you’ve got endless amounts of time while quarantining and an expansive mind, the obvious next steps are to put out an 18 minute remix version of your recently release track, One More Year.
Recently, Kevin Parker of Tame Impala fame took part in Remote Utopias, an endless livestream of music being featured on NTS Radio and delivered an absolutely mind bending version of The Slow Rush album opener, One More Year. We are currently highly recommending taking the 18 minutes out of your most likely jam packed day, slipping on your favorite pair of bass heavy headphones, and zoning out to this masterpiece.
As if the original 5-ish minute track couldn’t get even better, this version of One More Year gives you a minor insight into what DJ Defs Worth It aka Kevin Parker could do if he just focused solely on DJ’ing. Can you even imagine? We have to assume that with all the downtime Parker is currently experiencing, he’s dreaming up remixes, mastering new and old B-sides and hopefully gearing up to surprise his loyal fans while they’ve got too much time to burn.
Originally, those who were listening to the live stream, live, probably thought this version of the song wouldn’t see the light of day. Thankfully though, NTS Radio uploaded a page just this morning solely focusing on the track. While you’re at it, you should probably get listening.

After listening through the first time, it’s become quite difficult to decide which half I like more. I do like the extended intro featuring that heavy and psychedelic bass. I cannot stress enough that if you haven’t yet invested in a nice pair of headphones, now would be the time to get that going! You’re doing yourself a real disservice by listening to this through your tinny computer speakers.
