New Music Friday - Week of 6/26/2020

Article by Austin Sher

We did it, we made it, we’ve arrived at yet another New Music Friday. This one especially is pretty jam packed with fantastic new singles, EP’s, and full length records. Read on for a recap of the week and for a guide on what exactly you should be listening to.

Another seven days has passed since we last gave you the update on the week of new releases, and while the world continues to crumble and everyday seems immensely worse than the last, at least one thing is guaranteed. What is that thing specifically, well it’s the promise of artists creating and sharing their lovely work for the world to enjoy. While the artists aren’t getting paid insane amounts of money, mostly due to touring incapabilities, at least the flow of art hasn’t stopped and there’s always an audience for whatever new magic they continue to cook up.

To be perfectly honest, there’s hundreds if not thousands of new songs being released on a day to day basis. Some coming from artists you’ll most likely never hear of and some coming from radio friendly artists who will have careers for the years to come. Obviously there’s everything in between as well, but boy oh boy is it exhausting to sift through it all to get to the meat and potatoes of listenable releases. That’s why we’re here and that’s why we hope you’re staying up to date with our New Music Friday’s, for the latest and greatest in the music industry.

Not any indie blog can listen to the incredible amount of music to pick out the goods, but that’s ok, because we take pleasure in it. Anyway, we think it’s about time we stopped blabbing on about the nonsense in our life, and swiftly move over to why you came to this page, for the music!
