Primavera Sound LA Boasts Massive Inaugural Lineup of Lorde, Arctic Monkeys, & More
Having attended the original version of Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain, you can only imagine our sheer excitement to know that a Los Angeles version is here and coming! Taking place on September 16th-18th, 2022, let us tell you all about what you can expect as the festival date comes closer.
Boasting an absolutely eclectic lineup of some of music’s biggest artists such as Lorde, Nine Inch Nails, Arctic Monkeys, and beyond, where the real highlights of this festival shines are in its inspired undercard. While we’ve already heard slight rumblings of this feeling like the resurgence of the FYF days, Los Angeles is so in need of an indie-influenced festival just like this one. Count six years and we made our first trip over to Europe in order to attend Barcelona’s version of Primavera Sound. Based on the lineup alone and the allure that this now international festival holds, it was a no brainer decision, and continues to be a core memory of ours.
Fast forward to today and you’ll 100% see us at the LA State Historic Park trying to relive our glory days, all the while bringing the great vibes that this event is known for. A major plus in this situation is while we know the festival to have a focus on more rock-based acts, they’ve expanded their tastes and brought a little bit of everything into the mix. For the electronic lovers out there, we bet we’ll see you at Bicep (Live), Stereolab, and James Blake. However if you’re looking to get a bit heavier, the lineup also boasts massive up and comers like Amyl & the Sniffers, Cigarettes After Sex, Fontaines D.C., and beyond.
At the moment we’re still awaiting more details regarding set times, the map of the festival, and more, but that doesn’t mean our hype levels aren’t at an all time high. In the leadup to the event though, we urge everyone out there to stay up to date not only with the festival’s social media, but with us too.
