Paramore Draw Massive Crowd at Austin City Limits

It happened, it finally happened! After literal years of patiently waiting, we finally got to witness the greatness that is Paramore. We saw it all go down this past weekend at Austin City Limits Festival, so please, let us explain the life altering experience below.

What could have easily been a headlining set at the festival due to the insane amount of people that visited the American Express stage, was ultimately one of our favorite and most passionate moments of the weekend. Hayley Williams took the stage to a roaring crowd eager to hear basically anything her and the band were willing to play. Thankfully though, it was a set list filled with the hits, even a guest spot from PinkPantheress during the climax of “Misery Business”. With all that being said though in our years of festival going, we’re not sure we’ve experienced such hysteria at a midday show as the band was essentially opening up for the Red Hot Chili Peppers going on after them.

Now for the actual show, it was blazing hot, but no one really cared as Paramore immediately ripped into their opener “Hard Times” off After Laughter. Although we did feel a majority of the crowd may have been there due to the band’s resurgence via TikTok, you could certainly tell that the OG’s were up front and center just happy to be in the presence of this monumental moment. As the set went on we heard all the hits from albums like RIOT! and the self-titled album Paramore, a capstone to our already outrageous Sunday night. For us, the entirety of the Sunday lineup was so stacked that we found ourselves running from stage to stage after the sets ended.

As far as Paramore goes, they’ve got new music coming, a world tour on the horizon, and we’re sure plenty of other odds and ends are bound to pop up. Let us tell you right now that buying a ticket probably won’t be easy, but we recommend it regardless.
