La Onda Festival 2024 Celebrates Latin Pop, Spanish Rock, & Beyond in Napa Valley

La Onda Festival made its festival debut this year in the heart of Napa Valley, California. Being the first of its kind hosted by Bottlerock, an annual festival that brings together music lovers of all music genres together. However, La Onda brought a new fresh wave of Latin Pop, Raeggeton, Spanish Rock, Regional Mexican music, Cumbia and a host of popular Spanish acts

With the goal of making a festival curated specifically for the Latino community, La Onda exceeded expectations and will definitely stick around annually as the hottest Latino festival in Northern California. The festival grounds brought together the culture which was incredibly vibrant as many festival goers wore vaquero hats, sombreros, vaquero boots and bandanas, a mosaic of traditions. Soccer jerseys representing countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, & Puerto Rico highlighted the essence of the crowd.

What La Onda successfully captured who their audience was, bringing together the older and younger Latino generations. Iconic Spanish Rockeros such as Café Tacvba, Maná and Maldita Vecindad united the older generation with emerging talents like Junior H, Fuerza Regida & Gabito Ballesteros. La Onda authentically brought Latino culture to life, offering unique attractions for photo opportunities with low riders, a dance hall floor for couples to sway to their own rhythm, and a lucho libre stage for some wrestling entertainment amongst the musical performances.

The culinary offerings included an incredible selection of Mexican street food featuring elotes, tacos, esquites, chicharrónes, birria, and a large selection of aguas frescas. Set with the backdrop of an incredible wine country, summer started in style last weekend as La Onda kicked off on Saturday, June 1st attracting a staggering 60,000 eager fans for Day 1. The lineup for Day 1 included diverse acts ranging from Farruko to Danna Paola to Junior H, who closed out Day 1 of La Onda Festival and had fans ready for Day 2. Day 2 continued with amazing weather to continue a summer Latino festival in the Bay Area.

The stages hosted a lineup ranging from the legendary Maldita Vecindad to rising stars Gabito Ballesteros, Eslabon Armado, and many of Mana alongside Fuerza Regida.La Onda’s inaugural in Napa Valley undeniably left a mark, perhaps leading to more Latin-basedfestivals across the U.S. as the genre continues to grow in popularity. The festival ended with La Onda announcing their 2025 dates: May 31st and June 1st alongside where to get tickets starting now.
