Together Pangea Tear Through LA's The Regent Theater

Putting on an absolutely prolific and powerful performance this past week, Together Pangea brought all the energy into The Regent Theater in Los Angeles for a completely memorable night. Thankfully, we were there up close to recount the night in case you weren’t there. Please check out our full review and photo gallery below.

Setting the tone for the main event was Tropa Magica, who previously we were unaware of, but certifiably blew our minds with an insane performance that perfectly primed the audience for the headliner. Their wild mix of pure rock, funk, and outrageous stage antics was unexpected but ultimately refreshing. However, once Together Pangea hit the stage, the crowd immediately erupted into applause due to sheer excitement. We started out the first few songs of the set up front in the photo pit, but it didn’t take long for stage divers and crowd surfers to come our way. In fact, we got kicked in the head by one, but that’s just a sign of a great show in our opinion.

Through over an hour and a half of their greatest hits, legitimately the pit didn’t stop rocking from one end of The Regent to the other. Typically it feels like you’ll only see a select few moshing around in the middle, but moving to the top and getting a bird’s eye view gave us the opportunity to see that nearly every in the GA section was getting involved. We witnessed non stop crowd surfers which is rare, but an energy that didn’t turn down even once during the set. With so many hits in the ever growing discography, it felt like everyone had a favorite moment no matter the song being played.

Playing a ton of songs off their latest DYE and going all the way back to the Badillac and Living Dummy days, there was simply something for everyone. We had an opportunity to interview William Keegan a couple weeks back, in case you didn’t see it, but one of our questions was surrounding crafting a set list. The answer was unclear, but they clearly delivered and didn’t feel the need to shorten the set for time’s sake either.

With all that being said though, it was a monumental night that left everyone leaving with smiles on their faces and potentially a couple of bruises, but nonetheless lasting memories. If for some reason you’ve yet to enjoy the music of Together Pangea, we’ve included all the necessary links below to do so below! Make sure to check out our full photo gallery as well.
