Christian French Serves Up All the Emotion at The Depot in SLC

Upon first look, Christian French seems like such a friendly individual. The artist wore many friendship bracelets from fans he has met on tour, sang happy birthday to a fan, and made sure that the audience was doing alright. Though this may seem simple to others, how close he got to the audience and his facial expressions upon interactions with individuals said it all. This concert was able to target many different emotions that the average person would experience on the daily.

The general admission section of the venue where French performed was very full, overflowing to the beverage area on the back of the floor. It was apparent that the audience wanted to experience the live music specifically and were not as adamant about getting as close to the stage as possible. Though there were plenty of people crowded together, French still created an intimate experience that included each member of the audience.

The stage set up is very simple for Christian French. He had a keyboard and acoustic guitar on standby, someone playing drums, and someone on playing electric guitar. Initially expecting some sort of sign displaying his name or the tour name, or some sort of back light, this shocked me. Just another example that you don't need more things, just a few of the right things to make an experience memorable.

Taking place at The Depot in Salt Lake City, Christian put on an unforgettable performance that seemingly everyone in the building was into. He left us feeling all sorts of things, and with that being said, we urge everyone out there to take a look at our photo gallery below to get a glimpse of the night. Enjoy!
