Zacariiah impresses on expertly produced single, "That'll Be The Day"
Staying incredibly consistent throughout the entirety of 2022, Zacariiah has made a swift return on an all new track, “That’ll Be The Day”. Please read on for a closer look into the single, as well as a much needed background on this artist.
Representing a “battle within myself and how I look at my situations from the outside of my mind”, Zacariiah’s “That’ll Be The Day” is as lyrically dominant as it is impressive on the production. Truly hitting all corners of the musical spectrum through an immersive listening experience, the more that we’ve come back for repeated listens, the more we’ve discovered in the complex mix. If for some reason this is your introduction to the artist’s music, we can think of no better starting point than on his latest.
Mixed and produced personally by Zacariiah, he’s also got a music video accompanying the track on June 17th. We’ll update when the time comes, but with a message that’s as strong as this one lyrically, we can only imagine what the visual is going to look like. As mentioned though, he has been quite prolific this year so far, and “That’ll Be The Day” is serving as another teaser for his upcoming EP that’s set to drop later this summer. We don’t have a date just yet, but we’ve set our sights on it. There’s no doubt we felt summery hot weather vibes from this song, but mainly in the sense that we could see ourselves kicking back to it as it pops up on the playlist.
A major standout by far though is the deep versatility that it all holds. Clearly there’s a personal message backing this one up, but it’s also sonically vibrant to the point where you could get distracted by all the sights and sounds within the mix. Added production effects totally made this one border on psychedelic pop, but with a laidback feeling that certainly wasn’t overwhelming. A sincere recommendation would be to enjoy this on a nice pair of headphones or sound system, otherwise you’d be 100% be missing out on what makes it all pop the most. The end of summer is shaping up to be a great one, as long as we can get the full EP in our ears as soon as possible!
