Yusufyoko expertly blends genre & style on single, "Love Me Then"

On just his second overall single, Yusufyoko has completely taken us by hold with his eclectic and expansive sound on “Love Me Then”. Please keep reading for a closer look into the track, as well as a much needed background on this artist.

Living as a person of the world in a nomadic style, something we’re very familiar with ourselves, Yusufyoko has taken his global inspiration and confounded it to an instrumentally rich and crisp new song titled “Love Me Then”. Somewhere that borders the line between Jazz, Soul, R&B, and beyond, his vast musical influences like Radiohead, Arthur Russell, and more undoubtedly come through on this winning track. We completely love it and are urging everyone out there to please take the time to give it a spin as soon as possible.

Recorded all over the world, but starting out in a loft somewhere in Berlin, Yusufyoko is taking the path to his music creation by ultimately making these songs journal entries for his life. According to the artist, he’s “seeking musical enlightenment through experience” and we can confidently claim that this lavish lifestyle is paying off in droves based on the music. Within about the first 20 seconds of “Love Me Then”, the listener is immediately hit with this immersive, atmospheric, and downright impactful blend of horns and soundscape-like sounds that hit you like a wall. Not long after, his silky smooth vocals enter the equation and it’s almost as if you’re drifting away on a cloud as he lightly carries you to the final notes. We’re personal fans of all his influences, so we had a feeling we might enjoy this based on that fact, but by the end we became super fans, seriously.

Although this is just his second official song, and we’d highly recommend checking out “Room #405” as well, we’re legitimately excited to see what happens next. As mentioned, we live the nomadic lifestyle and understand the complications of getting regular recording time, but we’ll be patiently waiting in the meantime for a follow up. “Love Me Then” has absolutely checked all of our boxes for what we’d consider to be a great song, so with that being said, please don’t waste another moment not listening.
