Back with their first major release in nearly 4 years, Youngtree & The Blooms’ single “Heaven Ain’t A Lonely Road” is a certified hit! Please read on for a closer look at the track, in addition to a background on the band.

Delivering a strong dose of nostalgia through their 90’s alternative pop and rock sound, Youngtree & The Blooms have given us a taste of what’s to come on their upcoming 2nd album with the fresh release of “Heaven Ain’t A Lonely Road”. For the fans out there of Wilco, Gin Blossoms, and bands alike, this seasoned group of individuals are stirring it up and modernizing their sound for something incredibly special from start to finish. If you’re unfamiliar with their music, we’ve found this to be an ideal starting point in their growing discography.

On the background of the track, it was written about a friend who unfortunately spent some time in the hospital, but ultimately Youngtree has juxtaposed the negativity with an uplifting and inspirational feel to the mix. While the instrumentation is certainly bright and inventive in the background, our personal highlight of the listen had to have been the vocals and honestly the delivery of the lyrics that set the tone. They provided a really nice constant and painted a picture of the situation, all while not being overtly melancholy. It’s a fine line between bringing the listener down or not, but we confidently feel that everything was balanced effortlessly.

Now having had the opportunity to check out 2018’s Musical Chairs in full and knowing that another record is on the way, we can feel and hear the growth over the past 4 years. Youngtree & The Blooms are setting themselves up for something magnificent and we truly hope to hear more teaser singles along the way. It’ll be interesting to see if there’s an overarching message between the songs or if it’s isolated incidents, but as long as they sound similar to “Heaven Ain’t A Lonely Road”, we already know we’ll be thrilled with the outcome.
