For this singer and multi-dimensional guitarist, he’s created a modern take on Americana music that’s 100% a step in the right direction for a fruitful future in the music scene. We already can’t wait to hear what’s next, but in the meantime, get your ears on “Buzzin’ Fly” as soon as you possibly can.
With help on the production end from Andrew Hendryx (Yarn), the entire team that worked on this track needs a massive round of applause. For those out of the loop though, this song is actually a super deep cut from the 1969 album Happy Sad by famed 60’s-70’s folkie Tim Buckley. After having listened to the original and making a true comparison, legitimately this song has sort of blown our minds with the immense amount of life and revitalization that has gone into it! You’ve got to do a side by side to really know what we’re talking about here.
For those who might potentially be unfamiliar with Americana music, this would be the ideal way into a genre that doesn’t get nearly enough love. What Yardan and company have accomplished here initially starts out sounding like a classic singer-songwriter track and blossoms into a full blown jam session. It feels unexpected, but “Buzzin’ Fly” takes you on this journey and musical experience that you’re not going to want to get off of.
As many positive things as we’ve got to say about this, we’re really going to bring it back to our hope for more originals coming from this team. With the amount of talent embedded, 2022 is looking like a prime year to hop on the bandwagon of Steve Yardan.
