Última Conexión get relatable on electro-rock track, "Identidad"
With another winning single on their hands, this newest track titled “Identidad” coming from Última Conexión has easily been one of our favorite sounds of the summer. Please read on with us as we share our complete thoughts on the track, in addition to a background on the band.
Currently based out of Peru, Última Conexión are an Electro-Rock duo that are putting together energetic and modern sounding music that’s virtually guaranteed to get you singing along. Made up of Ana Alvarez (vocalist, composer) and Jim Bravo (bassist, composer), the duo have been making music together since 2010. We can’t wait to dig into the rest of the music, but for now we recommend checking out the newest single.
On the background of the track, the lyrics delve into the contradiction between the exciting life we create for ourselves on social media and the ordinary and often boring reality. Instrumentally speaking, you can expect a vast sound featuring booming synthesizers, electronic vocals, and a whole lot of passion that has been effortlessly infused into the song. Even better, there’s a music video on the way as well!
While the band has regularly played concerts and festivals around Lima, Peru, their songs are relatable to the world. Especially on this track for example, it’s never been easier to imagine that those you follow on social media are really not who they say they are. It’s songs like this that give greater meaning to the subject, however the best part is that you can dance, sing along, and groove out while making that connection.
