Tom Maroon shares the details on single, "Lost & Found" - Interview

Staying consistent in 2022 with his second single of the year, Tom Maroon has made his return with “Lost & Found” and we got the chance to sit and speak with him all about it. Check out our full interview below.

As a multi-instrumentalist and all around immensely talented musician, Tom Maroon has continued to craft his sound with an instantly catchy track named “Lost & Found”. For those out of the loop on Tom, he’s a Pennsylvania native who’s been actively writing, recording, and performing since the age of 16, in addition to being a part of other projects throughout the years. Having graduated from Berklee College of Music and continuing to explore other genres of music, he’s well on his way in terms of experimentation and sharing sounds that are expertly blended.

With his debut album titled Lowflyers set for release later in 2022, listeners can expect a varied mix of rock, trip hop, and cinematic-inspired styles. Particularly on “Lost & Found” though, we quickly noticed just how well Tom managed to infuse those inspirations. While his vocals certainly are the focal point of the song in our opinion, the instrumentation is extremely groovy, slightly sensual, and completely original to other songs we’ve heard in similar genres. Not to mention, the production is booming when listened to on a nice pair of headphones, don’t let that skew your experience by missing out on the subtleties.

Now while we obviously recommend you check out the song, our conversation with Tom is also not to be missed. We covered a variety of topics from his upbringing in music, his particular process of creating, what else is on the horizon, and so much more! If for some reason this is your introduction to his music, a deep dive of his growing discography is an absolute must. There’s so many gems scattered throughout, but as of recently he’s building up for what’s to come on Lowflyers. The album’s release can’t come soon enough, so please in the meantime, brush up on what you’ve been missing out on.
