The Still Point share an instrumentally uplifting record, "Full Circle"

Released officially on April 1st, 2022, The Still Point have just let loose an instrumentally vibrant record they’ve called Full Circle. We are loving it! Please read on for a closer look at the album, as well as a background on the band.

Led by frontman and guitarist Hayes Cummings, The Still Point are an eclectic Boston-based instrumental project that also feature a vast array of musicians to help complete the sound. Incorporating his influences of Jazz, Bluegrass, Rock, and Folk, his latest record Full Circle is an unbelievably dynamic record that tickles the senses and keeps the listener’s interest piqued from the opener. We were immediately entranced in the sound and can’t wait for everyone to give it an uninterrupted listen.

From start to finish on Full Circle, you’re presented with seemingly endless twists, turns, and surprises on where the record is headed. While Hayes certainly keeps everyone guessing with his wild arrangements, one thing is for certain, the album is super cohesive throughout. Different genres are popping up at all moments, but it’s still got that signature feel that lets you know you’re being hypnotized by the same artist. He kicks things off on “The Rooster” to give you a taste of what’s to come and the good times don’t stop rolling until the final moments.

You can fully expect moments of funk-filled grooves, laid back classic blues, and some pure guitar solos that will send shivers down your spine, seriously. With an instrumental project that doesn’t rely on vocals to “wow” the listener, we always feel like you’ve really got to be on your A game to impress the uninitiated. With that being said though, the song structures here are fresh and original, but also beyond approachable for those who consider themselves to not be into pure instrumentals. It’s just long enough to not skip around aimlessly, rather strap yourself in for a ride that we didn’t want to get off of. We think we’ve made it clear by now, but without giving too much else away, please do yourselves the biggest favor and check this out on release day if you happen to come across this.
