The_Meskimo & Howe collaborate on stunning single, "...The Stars Would Explode"
All set for its official release coming on October 20th, 2021, The_Meskimo and Howe have teamed up for a truly out of this world single titled “...The Stars Would Explode”. We are loving it! Read on for our full review of the track, in addition to a background on these artists.
On this collaboration that has downright impressed us in every sense of the word, The_Meskimo (composer, producer) and Howe (lyrics, vocals) were the unlikely match made in heaven that have put out legitimately one of our favorite songs of the year, “...The Stars Would Explode”. Reminiscent of artists Alt J, Jellyfish, and the wild drums of Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, everything about this song has lit us up and infused excitement.
What originally started as just an instrumental from The_Meskimo, quickly led to this collaboration with Howe after linking up on MusoSoup. She lent her lyrics and vocals to the track that otherwise would have been great as just an instrumental, however the song was elevated to levels we didn’t know were possible. At this point though, we’ve been introduced to two different artists that we can’t wait to single handedly explore on their own.
Trying to communicate what we enjoyed so much about this song is going to be difficult, but ultimately it starts with the compositional efforts by The_Meskimo. As mentioned, the original was a vocalless track, which we’d actually just like to listen to on its own. The production elements and really the diverse use of instrumentation laid the ideal base for a talented vocalist to lay their greatness over. Speaking on the instrumentation though, without a doubt the drums had to have been the stand out for us. They were so perfectly psychedelic and added such a complex depth to a track that was already pulling in so many positive directions.
Howe’s vocals were obviously pristine and added on the perfect vibe and atmosphere to the song, which is why we’re so excited for everyone to get their ears on it. Coming on October 20th, we sincerely recommend you give a listen, but also to catch yourselves up on these individual artists who are doing big things within their respective genres.
