the ensemble project evoke emotion on debut album, "Yuriko"
Putting together a riveting collection of their latest single, the ensemble project’s Yuriko 100% needs to be your next complete album listen. Please read on for our full review of the record, in addition to a background on these talented artists.
What is actually a passion project from composer Eduardo Ugalde comes the debut album from the ensemble project titled Yuriko. Written during the initial lockdown, the record is bursting with hope, emotion, and a wide array of instruments to truly create beauty from start to finish. You can’t help but feel moved by this listen and we sincerely hope everyone out there gives it a listen as soon as possible.
Coming in at 10 total tracks, each one creates its own individual life and atmosphere that pulls at a different set of emotional strings. Kicking it right off with “L’atelier”, Eduardo catapults the listener in with a wall of sound that evokes so much with so many variations of strings. Even if fully instrumental music isn’t quite your thing, we could fully envision popping this album on in times of stress or when we just need a little bit of relaxation in your lives.
On the background of the album, Eduardo says, "I used to want to form a band and bring my music to life that way, but after years, I just continued writing and focused on writing a theme and worried about the production later”. Even better, this album is actually a dedication to his mother who sadly passed in the last year. These songs represent the values his mom taught him and we honestly feel that he’s achieved that fully. You can feel the love come through and it’s almost as if time stops as soon as the music starts.
With it all set to release on February 25th, 2022, we urge everyone out there to please Pre-Save this record as soon as you can. We’ve included all the links below in order to listen, follow along, and stay tuned for everything else on the way.
