Superbloom show their softer side on soulful single, "Paper & Stone (Acoustic)"
Showing a softer side of their sound, Superbloom have just shared an extraordinary new acoustic version of their single “Paper & Stone”. We’re loving it! Please read on for our glowing review of the track, as well as a background on these artists.
Currently based in North London, Superbloom are made up of Robert James (Vocals/Guitars) and Sam Lidington (Drums/Percussion). Together, they’re putting together a seriously eclectic sound that mainly bases around alternative rock, however their latest release “Paper & Stone (Acoustic)” has delicately highlighted each member's talents in their own respective way. Sincerely, we can’t wait for everyone to get their ears on this one.
While this is just the band’s fourth single thus far, they’ve set themselves up for a big future purely based on what we’ve heard so far in the subtleties and drive to actually make something unique. So much of what alternative rock has sounded like these days is a lot of the same, but where Superbloom is breaking the mold is their immense passion and emotion that’s effortly being infused to their sound. Speaking directly on this newest single though, although of course it’s the acoustic and fairly stripped back version, it’s still overflowing with love and talent.
How we approached this listen was to of course check out the original for comparisons. While some may enjoy the original as opposed to the acoustic, the fact that both exist in this world just means more Superbloom for the soul. Either way, you’re getting Robert’s perfectly rigid vocal delivery on both songs and a subdued yet still interesting percussive performance from Sam. We know for absolute fact that we’ll be waiting on pins and needles to see what else comes out in the new year, because based on our love for this song, big things should be on the way.
Without giving too much else away though, let us confidently point you in the direction of those important links below where you can give “Paper & Stone (Acoustic)” a proper listen.
