Stone Fruit share smooth & silky EP, "Hold Me Close"
Heavenly in its sound and stunning in its execution, Stone Fruit have just shared their lovely new EP titled Hold Me Close that we are thoroughly enjoying. Please read on for our full review of the record, in addition to a background on the band.
Based out of London, the duo known as Stone Fruit have done it yet again with a luxurious and smooth as silk EP called Hold Me Close. Incorporating a wide variety of attractive instrumentation and a whole lot of passion, we were swept off our feet from the moment we started listening. If this is your introduction to band, you’re in for an absolute treat, we can’t wait for you to give it a listen!
At 5 total tracks, and one of them being a sublime cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere”, Stone Fruit have delivered a complete and cohesive listen that is vibrant and uplifting from start to finish. Offering the listener their own little unique world that’s primed to get fully lost in, every song evokes its own mood and atmosphere. Opening the record up with “Stand Up” is instantly what drew us in and hooked us in for more, but to be totally honest, it was the entire package that was enjoyable. It’s truly difficult to imagine all these sounds coming from just two individuals, but the vast sound they’ve created just proves their immense talents.
It might have been the serene vocals or top tier production that impressed us the most, but we’ll have you all be the judges of that. Considering this is Stone Fruit’s third EP, it’s got us super excited to do a deep dive on their past works to directly compare how far they’ve come. Stylistically speaking they’re hitting so many genres like R&B, Soul, and Alternative, so it’ll definitely be a special time to see how they’ve grown in years past.
Sincerely though, there isn’t a single negative we could point out here. The duo have gone above and beyond in creating something special sounding that doesn’t need a specific setting to enjoy it. We know we’ll be popping this one on for years to come as it’s really just a joyous listen!
