For those somehow out of the loop, Serena Sun is an artist, songwriter, and producer who’s making some seriously compelling music. Keeping the focus on her imagery-filled lyricism, unbelievably catchy melodies, and a top tier production, everything she’s put out so far has been gold. Her newest single “For the Hell of It” is no difference and we can’t wait for you all to discover it.

With a growing discography especially over the past couple years, we had the best time ever digging into everything else she’s made in anticipation of the release for her newest song. Listening to her first few songs and comparing it to the now, you can hear the major improvements across all fronts. At this point we’ve probably listened to “For the Hell of It” 10 times and it has ceased to get old. Whether it’s her silky smooth vocals or the atmospheric world she’s created, all we know is we’re 100% into it.

After being raised in Vancouver and always having that passion and drive to write or create music, she’s continued on her path to produce original songs and the effort has shown. While of course we don’t want to give too much away here because we’d prefer you just listen for yourselves, there were seemingly infinite moments that could be cherry picked out to fawn over. What’s even better is we won’t have to wait too long for more because she’s got an EP slated for release in 2022, yay!
