Seanti-Aeris debuts his wonderful 'good morning' EP, So.La.

Review by Austin Sher

Released earlier in July 2020, Seanti-Aeris has put forth his lovely debut EP, titled So.La. We absolutely love what we heard on the record, so please read along with us as we break down our thoughts and provide a bit of insight into the artist as well.

Coming in at 6 total tracks at a runtime of 29 minutes, So.La. is the morning album you’ve been looking for in your life. Before we fully get into, we’d love to provide a quick bio on the artist.

Currently based in Cincinnati, OH - Seanti-Aaeris, as a platform of studio creations and collaborations, expresses the compositions of Sean T. Kelley – performed by him and a variety of featured talent. Both the music and the moniker are an invocation of the Peace in Chaos - bridging the energies of the Buddhist Shanti (peace) and the Greek Goddess of Discord (Eris) to express unity in polarities, as "non-duality" shows up as a key lyrical motif. Between the years 2017-2019 were spent writing and pre-producing the album "So.La.Ti" - which is being released as 2 EPs, "So.La' & the upcoming "La.Ti" (scheduled for Spring 2021). So if you liked what you heard on this EP, get pumped, because more is on its way!

One of his main intentions and visions for how this EP would be beneficial to the audience is as a "good morning soundtrack". It’s something to throw on while doing a morning routine, whether that be going for a morning run or simply making breakfast or driving to work. It's an offering for kicking the day off on a good foot and bringing some peace into the chaos of modern life. One thing we loved the most about the EP is honestly how peaceful and relaxing it really was. Sure, it had its moments of all out instrumentation excellence, but the overall calming effect and atmosphere it created were the highlight.

As massive lovers of everything acoustic guitar, hearing the talents of the artist being portrayed in such a spiritual light was really something to behold. While the EP comes in at 6 total tracks, each individual song is its own journey through Sean’s experiences. While the lyrics take you on a journey, there’s so much more to what’s actually happening, because the production is top notch. We’d highly recommend listening on a great pair of headphones to truly hear all the subtleties you may be missing otherwise. During the peak moments of sound, it almost brought on a feeling of bliss from just focusing in.

While we loved the EP from start to finish, we obviously had our favorite songs. The ones that stood out the most for us specifically were the opener “Good Mourning”, the wonderful break down during “Start Again”, and the 7 minute long epic, “Dreambody”. We thoroughly enjoyed it all, but these three stuck out in the best way possible and are extremely deserving of repeated focused listens. We’d recommend you do the exact same.

With that being said, this is an EP you do not want to miss out on. So stop reading and get listening! For all things Seanti-Aeris, to listen to So.La. and to keep up with all future releases, please check out the following links below.
