San Holo reaches euphoria on newest single, "All The Highs"
Throughout our extended fandom of San Holo, we’ve quickly realized that the producer and artist can do no wrong! On his latest single “All The Highs”, that sentiment stays true. Keep reading for an in-depth look into the track, as well as a background on this talented musician.
Over the course of 2022 so far, San Holo has been prolific in his releases, always treating the fans to something new or playing one of live music’s most exciting shows. In this scenario though, the artist has just let loose an absolutely euphoric new track called “All The Highs” that sent us into the stratosphere with its vibrance and positivity attached to it. Released via Helix Records, it’s another monumental piece of music added to his quickly growing discography, and of course we’re recommending everyone out there hit the play button.
On the background of the track, ultimately its creation within the production was made to mirror “all of the lows and all of the highs, and remembering the ebbs and flows of the human experience”. It takes a concerted look back and embraces the low points of our life and juxtaposes them with the higher moments, knowing that the world goes on. Life is complicated at the end of the day, but you’ve got to look forward and set yourself up for success down the road. Lyrically speaking, we honestly find it rare nowadays in electronic music that an artist pays such close attention to their words. That’s not a dig to others, but it’s greatly appreciated when it’s relatable and optimistic like “All The Highs” is.
Productionally speaking, well, that’s where San Holo typically shines the brightest while utilizing hypnotizing melodies, infusing twists and turns, and keeping ambitious in progressing his own sound while harping on the essence of the past. At right around three and a half minutes total, it becomes this ambitious, living, and breathing piece of art that works to expand the listener’s horizons and keeps their interests piqued through the use of fun and flashy effects. Listening to this on a nice pair of headphones is key to experiencing all the subtleties within the mix, but there’s truly no doubt in our mind the best play would be at a festival surrounded by your loved ones.
