Sabreen Islam shares sensational single & video for "count me out"
Creating something completely wonderful on her first single of 2022, “count me out” is an instant hit coming from Sabreen Islam. Please do yourselves a favor and check out our review of the track, as well as a background on this artist.
Currently based out of Auckland, New Zealand, Sabreen Islam is consciously creating a signature style within her rapidly growing discography. With inspirations coming from artists like Maisie Peters or Conan Gray, she’s still managed to carve out her own niche with a fairly acoustic based approach to her pop sound. Undoubtedly, “count me out” is one of those songs guaranteed to get stuck in your head on first listen, which in our opinion is the definition of a great track.
While we’d definitely consider her music to be under the umbrella of pop, there’s still a strong folk presence that comes through in the demeanor and context of her songs. Whether it’s her striking vocals that provide a constant in the listen, or the minimalism within the focused instrumentation, she’s bringing a new energy to the table that’s hard to look away from. While we’ve yet to explore the rest of her music, it’s already been picked up by MTV Australia and MTV Upload, amazing!
Now while the song itself is something to behold, she and her sister created a music video to go along that is not to be missed! We’ve linked it below so you can watch, but we confidently think that your entrance to Sabreen’s music wouldn’t be complete without a viewing. Considering she also wrote and produced the song, we’re not surprised her talents have gone as far to create a visual aspect. It’s got such a lovely artistic style to it and truly brings a much needed life to the song.
Going forward though, Sabreen has created this impeccably strong base for herself going forward, and we’re now personally invested at this point to see what comes in the near future. “count me out” is a sensational single and we’d love nothing more for than everyone to hit the play button immediately.
