Rudy Touzet shares his latest music video for "Where Do I Go Now?"
Achieving new heights within his artistic vision, we’re beyond thrilled with this single and music video Rudy Touzet has released for "Where Do I Go Now?" Keep reading as we take a deep dive into the track, as well as an update on the artist.
Nearly four months ago we had the opportunity to set up a Q&A with Rudy Touzet to hear all about his single “Rather Be”, which initially get us pumped for much more of his music. Fast forward to today and the moment has finally come where he’s unleashed this incredibly diverse and passionate single that impressed us since the moment we heard it. Accompanied by a wonderful music video (linked below), it’s shown shown glimmers of Pop, Reggaeton, Hip Hop, and so much more, it’s something we’re urging everyone to get into as soon as you can.
Directly inspired by artists like Nick Jonas or The Weeknd, he’s still completely managed to carve out something new and unique for himself, a specific vibe that completely differentiates himself from similar artists creating music like this. With help on the production from Luke Shrestha and Simon Jay, two producers we’ve also covered extensively in the past, ultimately this is really the dream team when it comes to infusing a massive amount of creation and heart into the final product. Now of course we don’t want to spoil the video itself, mainly because it’s paramount that you give it a watch. However it really does take the listener and viewer on a rollercoaster ride and highlights amazing moments of cinematography. The music is the focal point, but the constantly evolving settings, panoramas, and evolution are consistently eye catching. It’s been a while that a music video has sent our way that’s legitimately held our attention, but we confidently think it’ll have the same effect on you.
While "Where Do I Go Now?" truly does have so much going for it, our personal standout is that it doesn’t stay in one lane, rather keeps the listener guessing stylistically from beginning to end. That hybrid of genre and style comes to fruition about every 30 seconds as the transformation continues. It’s very dance-inspired, but can also be attributed to the aforementioned production team that helped fill the gaps. Additionally, Rudy’s vocal versatility has proved to be endless and honestly it’s his cadence and specific inflections that have you lasered in and connecting the dots. There’s so much more music from Rudy Touzet that’s available to enjoy once you’ve covered this, so of course we recommend you do some exploration for yourselves as soon as possible.
Furthermore on the video, it does something that a lot of music videos today aren’t, it accurately displays a story related to the music at hand. Taking place in what feels like a desert and juxtaposing that with another setting being a red room, the consistency throughout it all is that ball pit that ties it all together. The resounding and echoing “Where Do I Go Now?” has Rudy second guessing himself, hence the change in scenery. It goes back and forth as he finds himself throughout the song, but we’ll leave it up to you to witness how it all ends.
