Seeing its official release on February 26th, 2021, Robert O’Connor is back with an all new single, “Too Late”, which is just a taste of his deluxe EP that’s set to come out next week. Read along with us as we refresh you on one of our favorites, as well as our thoughts on the track.

Receiving such critical acclaim from music blogs around the world, we’re thankful because Robert O’Connor is set to release an expanded deluxe edition of his 2020 EP, Transcendence. With the release of “Too Late”, it’s a peak into what you can expect on the full release, but if you were a fan of the EP, then you’ve got everything to be excited about when it comes out on March 5th.

Having covered Robert’s releases for Transcendence and “Over (Before It’s Begun)”, it quickly became apparent to us that his work with Skynem GT were a match made in heaven. We really don’t want to spoil anything ahead of the deluxe EP’s release, however we will have to suggest in advance you give it all the listens. Transcendence was, for a lack of a better word, a transcendent experience into the hybrid world of pop, EDM, and smooth vocals. For Robert to expand on upon something that was already proved to be a hit, well it just goes to show you that the creator never stops creating.

Considering that the collaborators on this project (Robert O’Connor and Skynem GT) are long distance from each other (Peru and Ireland), it’s just even more impressive what they were able to pull off without being in the same room. Specifically on “Too Late”, they’ve managed to create an upbeat, feel good, and downright danceable track that could be played at any moment. Something that we consistently mention in our reviews is how we wish the backing tracks of songs we love would come with instrumentals. With that being said, it’s almost as if the artists read our minds, because thankfully there is a purely instrumental version of “Too Late” that you can check out as well. Spoiler alert, it’s fantastic.

We’re not ones to want to fast forward time, well maybe somewhat nowadays, but honestly March 5th can not come soon enough. We’ve loved what we’ve heard on this EP and truly can’t wait for you all to give a listen as well. We suppose it wouldn’t be a bad idea to check out the rest of Robert O’Connors work in the meantime (links attached below) just to tide yourself over for what’s going to be a massive release.

In the meantime though, and we can’t stress this enough, “Too Late” is an absolute banger that deserves to be played loud and proud. This review is coming out on the weekend, which means there’s literally never been a better time to kick back, relax, and listen. Enjoy!
