The lyrics are a warning of a bleak future where the world is controlled by a few corporations, known as the "Overlords," who have stripped humans of their individuality and freedoms, and unfortunately that doesn’t seem too far off from today’s standards. Christian's escape from this terrifying future to come back to the present to warn us of the impending doom is a gripping storyline that is both fascinating and chilling.
The track itself is a showcase of Christian's immense talent as a musician and producer. The dark and brooding atmosphere of the song is created through the use of pounding drums, pulsing synths, and Christian's expressive vocals. This time around though compared to previous songs, his intent and delivery somehow feels more personal. Of course the messaging is in your face, but the tone in which he sings and evokes has to be the standout. Particularly, the chorus was super impactful, with Christian's voice soaring over the intense electronic beats and sending shivers down the spine.
