Piper Byers delivers a breathtaking new single, "All I Get"

With a handful of releases already put forth in 2020, Piper Byers is back yet again with another stunning delivery of a new single, titled “All I Get”. We are awe-struck! Please do yourselves a favor and read along with us as we share our thoughts on the track, in addition to a background on the artist herself.
At just 20 years old, singer and songwriter Piper Byers is making waves within the genre of indie pop. Currently based out of Dallas, Texas. Piper began her journey into music at the age of 9 performing all over the place like rodeos, The House of Blues, and The Hard Rock Cafe. Having released her first song at 12 in more of the country & folk genre, she began to branch out a bit into what you’re hearing today.
Performing at dive bars, local venues, and anywhere that’ll let her hop up on stage, she’s well on her way to a successful career. In addition to that though, she’s also pre-law at NYU...are you impressed yet? We are! For now though, let’s get to the music.
As far as “All I Get” goes, we were instantly taken aback after our first complete listen through. Featuring a reverberated acoustic guitar, a subtly space-like atmosphere, and the main focus on Piper’s angelic vocals, it didn’t take too much to win us over. In a way, the song is quite minimalistic, but ultimately that’s where it shines the most. A song doesn’t need to have 1000 different instruments to grab your attention, sometimes you just need a guitar and an impressive voice to really get your point across.
With that being said though, the minimalistic feel allows for the lyrics to actually be listened to instead of being glossed over due to being distracted by everything else going on. You’ll hear it for yourself when you listen, but there are some strong themes that come across on the single, you just need to break it down yourself to get the full feeling.
After listening through a few times, we had no choice but to check out the rest of her work, which doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. At such a young age, it feels like Piper has been through a ton and it really comes through in the maturity of her sound and music overall. If she’s putting out such greatness this early in her career, it’s only a matter of time until a full length album of hers changes her life for the long run. Without a doubt, we’ll be keeping a close eye on what’s to come.
For now though, we truly hope that our point has come across as clear as can be. We are highly recommending and suggesting you take the 4 minutes out of your day and give this one a proper listen. It will absolutely inspire you to check out the rest of her work as well. For now, enjoy!
