Patrick & Kate explore their sound on personal single, "All That I Have"
Out officially on June 28th, 2021, Patrick & Kate have put forward yet another strikingly relevant and relatable single titled “All That I Have”. Please read along with us as we share our complete thoughts on the track, as well as a background on the artists.
Now a married couple, Patrick & Kate initially met at an open mic night in Connecticut 6 years ago where they immediately bonded over their mutual love of music. While Patrick is more trained on the pop and electronic side, Kate has a classically trained background in soul and jazz. Together though, and especially on “All That I Have”, their equal talents have come together for an infusion that’s easily accessible and ultimately beautiful.
Based on their past relationships and experiences, “All That I Have” aims to emphasize the road to acceptance. Listening closely to the deep and complex lyricism featured, it’s about both parties needing to give 100% in order to make things work. As far as their relationship goes, it’s certainly a wonderful piece that not only gives insights into who they are as people, but also is just a plain amazing song that we’re overwhelmingly recommending a listen to.
While this appears to be their first single release of 2021, and fourth overall, their musical base has certainly been set. Considering the wide array of sounds and genres featured on “All That I Have”, Patrick & Kate have done the complete opposite of pigeon holing themselves into a single genre. Honestly, we loved this song on our first listen, but it really got us even more excited to hear what avenues and musical exploration will be uncovered as they continue to create and release.
Taking a moment and comparing this newest single to what’s been shared so far, we confidently felt that the production value has increased through and through. Not to knock any of the other singles, but you can audibly feel and hear the growth when comparing the existing singles. As mentioned, it’s got us excited to see what comes next, but for now we’ll still recommend kicking off your introduction into Patrick & Kate with a listen of “All That I Have”.
