We’ve covered Sarah Rae extensively over the past couple years, but as of March 2022, there’s been a new birth in the form of her band, of persephone. She’s making waves with her unique siren rock sound and her latest single, "Intergalactic," takes listeners on a dreamy journey through childhood nostalgia, with a bold and colorful style that's sure to sweep them off their feet. It’s an exceptional introduction to the band’s music as a whole and we urge everyone out there to take a moment to listen loud.

The song is made up of a variety of sounds and genres, effortlessly blending dream pop, shoegaze, and pop punk to create a soulful yet dissonant harmony that's both captivating and evocative. Sarah's vocals are particularly noteworthy, with a power that cuts through the layers of sound and draws listeners in with a haunting allure. Honestly, there’s some standout moments in this track where she kicks it into overdrive and simply speaking, she’s never sounded better than now. The range and overall dynamics she’s achieved that are bursting through on top of an outrageous instrumental are breathtaking.
